Patients on hemodialysis need a well-functioning AV fistula. Dialysis fistula-related problems are very common resulting in difficulty in doing dialysis. Patients develop blockade of dialysis fistula causing poor blood flows. Interventional nephrology helps in dealing with these problems thereby saving dialysis fistulas.
